owdy! And welcome to a new week here at BohoVin. : ) Ya like that? "BohoVin"? I think it has a nice ring to it, thank you very much. : ) So, today I wanted to discuss the topic of wood paneling with you. What do we think? Yay? Nay? It usually conjures up pretty bad decor memories from childhood. I just always think of that nasty 60s wood paneling allover the house that made everything look so dark. Yep... I know. I was that weird kid that noticed things like that at 8 years old. But, now I kinda have a crush on it. It brings a certain warmth into a space. Especially if you have a space that would otherwise feel cold and rigid. This is also true if it's a space that has concrete or terrazzo flooring. Hence the wood ceiling I asked my hubby for in the new house. See?...

Granted, it's not wood paneling, but well... I suppose it kind of is. It just so happens to be on the ceiling! Who said it must be on the wall and wall only? : )
Do you have any wood elements in the design of your home? Would you like too someday? Curious to know.
Well... I better get going now. Coming back from a 5 day trip is not only ex.haus.ting!!! But, it's also busy! I need to catch up on so much. And unpack. And prepare for work tomorrow. And call my friends and family and blab all about my trip and talk their ear off, etc... So, I will catch ya'll tomorrow for Looks Tuesday. Now... I do want to say that there will be an Alt Summit Recap later on today. So stay tuned. I will announce it on Facebook and Twitter when it goes live on the blog. So, if you haven't yet joined us on FB or Twitter, what are ya waiting for??? Chop chop!! Get to it! : ) No pressure though.
Hugs!
Mina

Love this post. Wood paneling is awesome. It makes me think of my childhood and those kid-friendly rooms in the house. The places kids could be kids. I'm thinking of the couches that you could sit and eat chips on and where a ping pong ball bouncing off the wall was encouraged. Yay!
(So fun to meet you at ALT)
I agree! I loved rooms like that! It was my pleasure meeting you Chris! You're the sweetest! : )
It's not bad at all. We are renting a home these days (ah, military life!) but I wouldn't mind a bit of it in our home someday, so long as it's in a very sunny room.
Cheers,

Loving the wood paneling! It always reminds me of when I was kid. I've got some repurposed wooden pieces in my home now but I'd love to add more.
Great post and wonderful little blog :)
